Enrique N. Vargas, 42, born on April 13, 1981, in Trinidad, Colorado passed away unexpectedly on May 10, 2023, in Springer, New Mexico. Enrique was born to and survived by his mother, Vickie R Vargas (Robinson) of Springer, NM, and his father Henry M Vargas of Trinidad, Colorado.
Enrique graduated from Raton High School in 1999. He pursued his love and ambition for music by attending Colorado Sound for Audio Engineering.
He is also survived by his uncles and aunts John and Miranda Vargas, Michael and Rose Vargas, and David Martinez and Jane all of Taos, New Mexico. Deborah Robinson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Douglas and Olga Robinson of Anchorage, Alaska, Geoffrey and Brenda Robinson of Okeechobee, Florida. His siblings Nicole Vargas of San Antonio, Texas, Michaela Vargas of Trinidad, Colorado, Erica Vargas of Trinidad, Colorado, Felipe Vargas of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Lucas Mestas of Trinidad, Colorado, Eva, his loyal and loving dachshund, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins too numerous to list.
Preceding Enriques death are his paternal grandparents Enriquez Vargas and Juanita Vargas (Martinez) of Taos, New Mexico, and maternal grandparents Lowry n. Robinson and Betty J. Robinson (Pelham) of Del Rio, Texas.
Also Preceding Enriques Death was the love of his life Nicole Domino.
Despite life’s challenges resulting from a workplace accident that causes his disabilities, Enrique continued to live life to the fullest with a kind, giving, loving heart of gold. There was nothing that could stop him from achieving anything his heart desired. His strength, drive, and positive attitude were an inspiration to many and he will live forever in the hearts of all who knew him. Being the only child of Vickie, Enrique was her world, and she was his, there’s nothing they wouldn’t have done for each other. There will forever be an empty place in her heart that can never be filled.
Please join us in the Celebration of Life for Enrique at the Alderette Pomeroy Funeral Home, 244 N. 1st Street. Raton, NM. The service is at 1 pm on Tuesday, May 23rd at the funeral home. Following the services there will be a dinner at K-Bobs Steakhouse 1228 S. 2nd St. in Raton. In lieu of flowers, donations are accepted.
