BACKGROUND: Emma Cardenas was born on August 29, 1933, in Moses, New Mexico to Antonio Valdez and Maria (Martinez) Valdez. A lifetime resident of Clayton, New Mexico, Emma was a member of the congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Clayton. Emma married Nash Cardenas on August 17, 1952, in Clayton, New Mexico and she preceded her in death on April 27, 2015. In addition to her husband and parents, Emma was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Nick Valdez and Raymond Valdez, and by 2 sisters, Lena Jimenez and Addie Sturbis.
SURVIVORS:
1 DAUGHTER: Anna Torres and her husband Jose of Clayton, New Mexico.
2 SONS: Robert Cardenas and his wife Rose and Timothy Cardenas all of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Several Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, and 1 Great-great-Grandson.
1 SISTER: Sally Sanchez and her husband Renaldo of Clayton, New Mexico.
1 BROTHER: Tony Valdez, Jr. of Arizona.
