Daniel Lee Apodaca

“Those we love and lose are always connected by heartstrings into infinity.” Daniel Lee Apodaca Jr. was called home to be with our Lord on March 18, 2023. Daniel Lee was born on March 22, 1967 to Daniel and Mary Lou Apodaca in Raton, NM. Daniel Lee learned his love for playing the drums at a very young age and continued playing throughout high school and as an adult. After high school, Daniel Lee joined the Natural Guard, and after receiving an honorable discharge he went to work in the grocery business. In 2015 Daniel Lee became a Father to his son Matias Raymond Daniel Apodaca, his greatest accomplishment.
Daniel Lee Apodaca is proceeded in death by his beloved Nene and Papo Ray, Raymond and Cleo Apodaca, and Grandfather Phil Duran. He is survived by his parents Daniel and Mary Lou Apodaca, son Matias Apodaca, sister Joana Apodaca, nephew Aesyn Apodaca, Grandmother Teles Duran, Aunt Priscilla and Uncle Charles Gilbert, Aunt Carol Cunico, Cousins Arla Marquez (Jack), Jeremy Gilbert (Laura), Lonnie Cunico (Jennie), Michelle Cunico-Johnson (Eric), Angeleah, Alyssa, Alijah, Reaya, Amara, numerous extended family, and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 11:00 A.M at St. Patrick’s / St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Rite of Committal and Inurnment to follow at Mount Cavalry Cemetery. A dinner will be held at Parish Hall following services.
Arrangements for Daniel Lee Apodaca Jr. are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
