Peggy Blue Ferguson, Age 83, Passed away on April 3, 2023, at her home in Raton, NM.
Peggy was born on February 5th, 1940 in Beaver Pennsylvania to James T. Hitchin and Margaret E. (Strub) Hitchin. She attended school at
Patterson Township Elementary and Beaver Falls High School. Growing up she spent a lot of time working in her father’s Chrysler Plymouth Dealership and Garage which helped spark her love of classic cars. She also enjoyed animals of all kinds but horses and dogs most of all.
Peggy met her husband Tom Ferguson in Pennsylvania, and they were married in 1975. Shortly thereafter they moved out west where they lived at different ranches in Nevada and Arizona before settling in Clayton, NM. There they owned and operated Ferguson’s Western Ware & Livestock Supply. After retirement, they settled in Raton, NM. During their time together they shared many wonderful adventures trail riding, taking motorcycle trips, hiking, hunting, and camping. She especially enjoyed being a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association and volunteering in community charity events.
Peggy was preceded in death by her son James Corbin, granddaughter Megan Wilkinson and grandson Travis Manns.
Peggy is survived by her Husband Tom Ferguson, her children Tammy Wilkinson of Darlington PA, Dean Davis and his wife Kelly of Freeport IL, Buddy Davis and his wife Lisa of Logan, NM. Tom’s Children are Dell and Tommi Ferguson.
Grandchildren: Amanda Bess and her husband Jeremy, Nolan Corbin, Richard (Ricky) Bruce, Brett Newby and his wife Melissa, Sarah Wilkinson and her Partner John Haymes, Edee Davis, Rusty Libby, Braden Thurston, and Zachariah Ferguson.
Great Grandchildren: Janaey Wilkinson, Bennett and Nash Newby, Hunter Harris, Lainah and Madison Bruce, Ayla, Odin, and Zeus Libby.
Siblings: Sister Edwina (Eddie) Hitchen and Bobby and Dolly Ferguson.
Nieces and nephews: Jason and Cara Hawks, their children Anthony & Sophia. Todd and Amy Smith, their children Gracie, Brenden, Marina, and Tom Pfaff.
There will be a viewing on Saturday, April 8th from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home in Raton NM with the Memorial service to follow at 11:00. Burial will take place following the Memorial at the Fairmont Cemetery also in Raton.
Arrangements for Peggy Blue Ferguson are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
