In Loving Memory of Arthur Dave Roybal

Arthur Dave Roybal, age 70, passed away on March 31, 2023, at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo Colorado.
He was born on August 25, 1952, in Trinidad, Colorado, to Stella (Archuleta), and Arthur Roybal.
Dave grew up in Weston and graduated from Primero High School. In August 1986, he married Lucy Samtistevan. He worked at various jobs, including the Ford Garage as a mechanic, owning a gas station on W. Main St., and working in sales for Bob Menapace. He also worked for the Comi Funeral Home, Las Animas County, and also worked as a coal miner.   He was a member of the UMWA Local  9856 and was a previous representative for the union. Dave liked to read Louis L’Amour and Western books and doing fill-in puzzle books. Watching Western programs, and listening to Country Western and Spanish music, especially the artist Tiny Morrie was also a favorite pastime.  He also liked riding horses with his father and son Brian and hunting with his father, son, uncles, and cousins.  He loved life and lived it to the fullest.
Preceding him in death are parents, Arthur and Stella, baby sister Della, father and mother-in-law, Alfred and Bernice Santistevan, brother-in-law Sid Vohn and numerous aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy, son, Brian Santistevan, special grandsons  Isaih and Elijah, sister, Kathy (Gary)Simpson, and Antoinette (Brad)Bailey, sisters, and brothers-in-law, Marie Vohn,  Richard Carmen( Santistevan, Tom (Resha) Santistevan, Alfred (Londa) Sanstitevan Jr.
and  Denise,(Bob)Cordova.
Also, surviving are his Godchildren, special nieces, and nephews, (Pompo’s babies)great nieces and great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews
many special friends and numerous cousins.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 12, 2023, from 3 to 6 PM at the Comi Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 13, 2023, with Rosary at 9 AM at the Comi Chapel. Funeral Mass will follow at 10 AM. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Interment to follow at the  Weston Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Justin Torres, Brandon Bailey, Joseph Gallegos, Jesus Cordova, Dante Sanchez, and Tom Santistevan Jr.
Arrangements were made under the direction of the Comi Funeral Home.
