Wallis R. Miles 84, was united with Jesus on February 6, 2023.
He was born August 17, 1938, in Duncan Oklahoma to Raymond and Billye Miles.
Wallis married Anna Pollard on August 16, 1960.
Wallis Attended Syracuse University where he obtained two Bachelor’s degrees. He was an electrical engineer, Avionics Officer, Production Manager, Logistics Plans & Programs officer, and Captain in the Air Force for almost 16 years. After his Honorable discharge, he worked in the Allen Mine, then worked at Century Cable for 15 years where he became the Plant Manager. He and Anna owned Helping Hands elderly home, where they took care of the elderly for 30 years, retiring in 2013.
He enjoyed bowling, golfing, watching old westerns, computers, bible study, sewing, crocheting, embroidery, and making, clothes and doilies for many people.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Anna, parents Raymond Miles and Billye Love, Parents-in-law James H. and Luella Fern Pollard, daughter Teresa Ann Burch, and brother Donald Miles
Wallis is survived by his children, Rhonda Miles (Tom Lane) of Trinidad, Pamela (Bill) Puryear of Colorado Springs, Tammie Miles of Trinidad, Cassie (Rob) Lowery of Calhan, Wallis H.(Lisa) Miles of Pueblo West, Luella Miles of Windsor, Son in Law Jerry Burch of Allen TX. 17 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, numerous other beloved family members.
Celebration of Life service will be on March 10, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church in Trinidad, Colorado. Inurnment will follow at the Masonic Cemetery where he will join his Wife Anna and daughter Teresa. There will be a social gathering at the First Christian Fellowship Hall following the Inurnment.
Arrangements were made under the direction of the Comi Funeral Home.
