Dominic Alexander Pasquale, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Cody, Wyoming on February 6, 2023, at the age of forty.
Dominic was born December 23, 1982, during a memorable blizzard in Trinidad, CO. He was raised in Raton, NM where he was well-known in the community from a very young age. He loved living in Cherokee Hills, where having free reign of the neighborhood, he grew up exploring outside with his brothers Nicolas and Frank. He loved spending time with his grandpa, especially fishing all over northern New Mexico. Dom participated in youth football, basketball, and Little League which fueled his passion for middle and high school sports. He loved playing football and baseball at Raton High School where he graduated in 2001. In the summer of 2001, Dominic had the overwhelming urge to serve his country and enlisted in the United State Army. He graduated from Basic Training and Advanced Infantry Training at the top of his class. He was stationed at Fort Lewis in Tacoma, WA where he was assigned to the 25th Infantry Division, Deuce Four Stryker Brigade. Dominic deployed to Mosul, Iraq in 2005 where his unit was at the core of liberating the citizens of Mosul from terrorist control.
Dominic returned home in 2006 to become a locomotive engineer for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway following in his grandfather Palmer’s footsteps. While attending railroad school in Kansas City, Dominic met his wife, Hillary. Dominic was highly esteemed for his skill and professionalism while working on the railroad. In 2017, Dominic decided to pursue his passion for the outdoors and began his career as a big game hunting guide for Trophy Hunting Adventures. In 2021 Dominic was hired as the Director of Training for Best of the West Arms out of Cody, Wyoming. Dominic traveled the country and instructed long-range shooting schools where he made numerous friends along the way. It afforded him the opportunity to spend countless hours chasing trophy big game all over North America and even a lifetime trip to South Africa. Dominic’s spirit, passion, and heart touched many lives around the world, and it is a better place because of him.
Dominic is survived by his wife, Hillary of Cody, Wyoming, his daughter Juliannah of Colorado Springs, CO, and his mother, Claudia Lorenson of Shelburne, Nova Scotia. He is also survived by his older brother Nicolas and his twin daughters, Elicia and Gabriella of Englewood, CO, and his younger brother Frank and his wife Barbara of Portland, OR. His mother-in-law Becky Rominger, of Ottumwa, Iowa. His brother-in-law Jesse Reed and his wife Emily, and their children Rayleigh and Brooks of West Liberty, Iowa. Dominic was preceded in death by his father, Frankie Carle.
A celebration of life will be held at Lighthouse Church, in Raton, NM on March 1st, 2023, at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to a memorial fund which the family will use to make a donation in Dominic’s name to a foundation that mirrors his passions in life.
