Margo Ann Sidwell

( January 13, 1958 – January 06, 2023 )

Margo Ann Sidwell, age 64, passed into the loving arms of her savior on Friday, January 6, 2023, in Ulysses, Kansas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Central Time on Saturday, January 14th at the First Baptist Church in Texline, Texas with Rev. Billy Rammage officiating. Burial will follow in the Texline Cemetery by the Haas Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Margo was born on January 13th, 1958, to Donald C. Sidwell and Charlene (Sallee) Sidwell. She was named after her Aunt Marlene and her Grandfather Marvin. Margo had the privilege of growing up in Amarillo where she attended Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with her family. At the age of six, our sister made a profession of faith and was baptized. Inquisitive from an early age, Margo loved Sunday School and was active in her youth group at River Road Baptist Church. Margo was known for her kind heart and the ability to help all those that she came in contact with. She had a life-long love of animals (from her pet raccoon she bottle-fed as a toddler to a variety of rescued animals she sheltered as an adult). Margo had many hobbies, but her favorite was camping and fishing. She and her grandmother (as well as other family members) could be found regularly at a pond or lake fishing. A talented athlete, Margo enjoyed Basketball, Summer League Softball, and community volleyball. Upon graduation, she attended T.S.T.I. in Amarillo majoring in computer technology and programming. She continued to use her computer skills throughout her life helping others research a variety of topics and guiding others to progress in their computer skills. Throughout her life, Margo worked in a variety of fields: household nanny for a doctor’s family, working and managing a restaurant, helping her parents at their convenience store, owning and running the local Burger Barn, construction road work for the State of Texas, security guard, and finally in 2011 was certified as a corrections officer for the State of New Mexico. Her tenacious and fearless spirit was infectious. In addition to her parents, Don and Charlene Sidwell, Margo was preceded in death by her loving grandparents: Marvin and Nina Sallee of Colorado and Clint and Juanita Sidwell of Texas.
