In Loving Memory of Sophie Mileta Madrid
Sophie Madrid, age 82, a resident of El Paso, TX passed away on December 11. Sophie was born in Van Houten, NM on August 13, 1940, to the late Lazo and Antonia Mileta. Sophie was the youngest of 8 siblings born to the couple. She married her husband Ignacio (Shorty) Madrid Jr. in 1965 and they have been residents of El Paso, TX their entire 57-year marriage.
Sophie is preceded in death by her parents Lazo and Antonia Mileta, half-sisters Josephine and John Rodman, Elizabeth and Fred Parker, brother Pete, sisters Mary Mileta, Emily and husband George Krulyac, Zita and husband Nickie Yaksich, Martha and husband Gene Menapace, Helen and husband Buddy Vukonich, and brother-in-law Charles Stevens.
She is survived by husband Ignacio (Shorty) Madrid Jr., sons Nick Madrid and girlfriend Dana Cassolopez, and Richard Madrid and wife Sarah. Her 3 beloved grandchildren, Linnea Elisabeth Madrid, Annika Nelson Madrid, and Mia Louisa Madrid.
She is also survived by sister Anna Stevens and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
