BACKGROUND: Conrad was born in Barney, New Mexico, on June 29, 1929 to Aniceto and Rosenda Maria (Montoya) Martinez. After Conrad’s retirement, he would occupy his time by spending hours using his hands building various woodwork projects, evenings watching his favorite westerns while working on his word searches or spending time relaxing while reading his westerns, especially his favorite author Louis L’Amour. You could always find Conrad riding around listening to music. He would spend many miles chasing his grandchildren all over the states with their many activities, he was very proud of each one of his daughters and his grandchildren.
