Lucille Vigil Arvizo, age 68, passed away May 14, 2022. She was born January 3rd, 1954 in Springer, New Mexico to Bernave and Rebecca Vigil. She was a longtime resident of Colfax County and a beloved member of her family and the community.
Lucille loved to love people. She was a numerical genius, having worked for the Romero family and Rocky Mountain Metal for the majority of her career as an accountant.
She served Calvary Baptist Church for many years alongside her friends. She had a special place in her heart for kids and was a surrogate mother to many that came through her life. The two greatest joys in her life were her own grandsons, Siers (11) and Ben (8) Arvizo. She bragged about them constantly and loved them fiercely.
In addition to her grandsons, Lucille is survived by her son Javier D. Arvizo, her daughter-in-law Gwen Arvizo of Pueblo CO, her eldest brother Edward Vigil of Rio Rancho NM, and her youngest brother Carlos Vigil of Elizabeth CO. Lucille was preceded in death by her sisters Isabel (Vivi) Lopez and Marge Kuhlman, her brother J.F. Vigil and her parents Bernave and Rebecca.
Services for Lucille Vigil Arvizo are Saturday, June 4th at the Calvery Baptist Church at 11 am
My heart is broken over the loss of Lucille. We lost 2 sisters in a month. Now there are only memories to try to fill the void left by her absence in this world. To be absent in this world is to be present with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Memorial Service for Lucille will be at Calvary Baptist Church in Raton New Mexico on Saturday June 4th at 11am.
Rest in Peace to my Aunt Lucille. You will be greatly missed by our whole family.
