Charles Kelly Collins passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Clayton Rehabilitation Center on May 19th.
He was born in Clayton on March 22, 1944. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon, his parents Jiggs Collins and LaVerne Hanners, and two sisters, Jeanne Collins and Cheryl Indelicato.
He leaves behind his two daughters, Kim Roley and Heather Collins, both of Virginia Beach, Va., and his adopted son, Cody Collins as well as his sisters, Sandy Bostrom, Susan Cogar, and Nell Rodgers. His extended family of many nieces, nephews cousins, and friends will miss his wit and wisdom.
Kelly wrote a column about Kenton for the Boise City Paper and for the Clayton paper he wrote about the nursing home. He loved the Cimarron Valley and loved living there.
His ashes will be scattered in a private ceremony on the land that he loved.
