A warm and windless day greeted the Lady Cardinals in Raton as they arrived for a makeup double header game with Raton after fire issues in Las Vegas cancelled the first attempt.

Robertson came to play as they started the scoring off in the second inning of game one and then had a hot third inning scoring another nine runs for a 11-0 lead. They added another seven runs in the fourth to finish off the game with a 18-0 win. Raton started the game with pitcher Haydyn Middlebrook who loaded the bases on balls in the third inning. Giana Marez came in to finish off the inning and she too added base runners with balls. She finally calmed down and finished the inning with two strikeouts.

In the fourth inning Marez too struggled striking two batters and the Robertson offense took advantage by making the hits to send the runners around for the seven runs to end the game.

Game two went a bit better for Raton as they managed to tie the first inning with two runs. However Robertson continued their hitting off of Raton pitcher Samantha Phillips to add five more runs in the second inning and would finish the game with seven runs in the sixth for a 18-4 win.

Robertson pitcher Arianna Archuleta didn’t spend much time on the pitching stripe as she held rRaton batters pretty much at bay as she threw seven strikeouts in game one with Taylor Quintana pitching game two and adding eight strikeouts to her record. Haydyn Middlebrook struggled on the mound unable to strike out any Robertson batters and Gianna Marez was only able to strikeout two Robertson batters in her one and a half innings. Samantha Phillips pitched game two for Raton and managed to strikeout two batters.
