Sam E. Fernandez, age 70 passed away on January 8th, 2022 at Loveless Hospital in Albuquerque. He was born on January 2, 1952, and was preceded in death by his father Joe Fernandez, mother Della, and infant daughter Angel Fernandez.
He is survived by 4 children Sam Fernandez Jr., David Fernandez, Adella Fernandez, and Andrea Fernandez. Sisters Dorthy Nevarez and husband Mel, Joanne Herrera and companion Javier, Mable Santana and husband Pasquil, Elenor Romero of Springer. Half brothers, Tony Ferman and companion Adriana, Ernie Fernandez, Rico Fernandez, and wife Denise, Bobby Fernandez and Jo Jo Fernandez. Half sisters, Patsy Fernandez, Rosemary Lechuga, Pauline Fernandez, and Shirley Fernandez are all of Colorado. And his companion of 5 years Sandra Montgomery of Pueblo Colorado, 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
