In Loving Memory of Lt. Col. Mary Lou Pavlich

Retired Lt. Col. Mary Lou Pavlich passed away peacefully on December 20, 2021. A registered nurse, Mary Lou served in the United States Air Force during the Tet Offensive in the Vietnam War, Mary Lou served as a flight nurse. Following retirement, Mary Lou earned a degree in Petroleum Engineering from New Mexico Tech in Socorro, New Mexico. She then chose Raton as her permanent retirement residence. A gentle soul with a generous heart, Mary Lou will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by parents Charles and Matilda Pavlich, sisters Agnes Maga, Betty Jo Pavlich, Catherine Roybal, and brothers Dave and Joe Pavlich. She is survived by brother Jim Pavlich (Pat) of Bay City TX. Loving sister Phyllis Pavlich of Raton and numerous nieces and nephews.

Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held on December 23, 2021, at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church recited by the Legion of Mary followed by the Mass of Cristian Burial at 10:30 AM with Father Bill Woytavich as the Celebrant. Rite of Committal and Internment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
