In Loving Memory of Moises Cisneros Jr.

If you are reading this that means that I lost the battle to cancer and I am no longer here on earth.  I was lucky to have been touched by the GRACE OF GOD!

I was born on May 5, 1951 to Moises Cisneros Sr. and Eleanor (Salazar) Cisneros in Pueblo, Colorado.  I was raised in Redwing and Gardner, Colorado, and graduated from Huerfano County High School in Walsenburg Colorado in 1969.  When I was 14 years old my mother passed away and I lived with my grandparents Pete and Teresina Cisneros.  Since I was a little boy, I worked selling pop bottles and wood to make that extra dime.  I worked in many states and towns including Idaho, New Mexico, Kansas, and Colorado.  I worked as a laborer, in a sawmill, in a beef packing plant, at a hard rock mine, and in construction.  I really enjoyed my time working as a rancher on Wolf Spring Ranch and then working as a heavy equipment operator until my illness hit.

My journey here on earth was amazing.  I made some bad choices during my lifetime, but I also made some good ones.  My last 20 years were a blast! I met my beautiful and amazing wife and decided to make Trinidad my home.  I always said, “I was single for 50 years and I was going to be married for 50 years.”  I guess God had a different plan for me.  I never had children, but God blessed me with two stepchildren and four step-grandchildren, which I couldn’t LOVE more if they were my own flesh and blood.  Before I left this world, I enjoyed my lotto’s and traveling with my wife and sometimes the grandkids.  Going to Hawaii was great!

I have left this world on November 22, 2021, to be with my parents, Moises and Eleanor Cisneros and my Grandparents Pete and Teresina Cisneros, and Antonio and Sophia Salazar.

I leave behind my loving wife Bernadine, my four grandchildren; Audrey Armijo, Andrew Armijo, Mary Armijo, and Abbie Armijo; stepdaughter Sherry Armijo and stepson Andy (Danielle) Armijo Jr.;

Two Sisters; Rita (John) Valdes and Terri Cisneros; Three Brothers; Caesar (Gloria) Cisneros, Alex Cisneros and Tony (Susan) Cisneros; Two Sisters-in-law; Louise (James) Montano, Anna Fry, and Brother-in-law John (Jenny) Sanchez.  Special cousins that I will miss talking to every day Gerald (Lorraine) Cisneros and Larry Cisneros.  Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and of course my Aunt Linda Valdez and Uncle George Cisneros.

My last words to all are, “Thank you for all the prayers, and don’t cry for me just say a prayer for me. Take care of yourself and your body because there is so much to LIVE for!”
