George B Ghella age 95 passed away at Mt. San Rafael Hospital on August 28, 2021.
He was born on August 10, 1926 in Pryor, Colorado to Anna (Giuliani) and Frank Joseph Ghella Sr.
He attended grade school in Pryor Colorado and then attended Huerfano County High School where he graduated in 1944.

Upon graduation, he went to work as a Master Mechanic for the Young Motor Co. , (18 yrs) Santi Motor Co (18yrs) and retired from the Colorado State Patrol in Denver Colorado after 15 years .
George was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Walsenburg Colorado since 1948, the Eagles in Pueblo Colorado for 26 years and was also a member of the Harry Sayre Senior Center in Trinidad Colorado.
He enjoyed meeting and socializing with people. George was kind, caring and very considerate and willing and always available to lend a hand to anyone in need. He always had a great garden and enjoyed growing and giving vegetables tears friends and neighbors. His greatest pleasure was helping his wife at 51 years at social events, especially at the bank and the Trinidad Veterans Committee. He loved to dance especially dancing the Polka.
Preceding George in death are parents Anna and Frank Ghella, Brother Frank Ghella Jr. , sisters Esther Hobeika, Marguerite Ghella, and niece Anna Marie Hobeika . He is survived by wife Mary Ann, brother-in-law Ed Dekleva, nieces and nephews Shirley Hribar, Angel Dekleva Blan, Laura Dekleva, Sharon (Dave) Skilling,, Don ( Donise) Ghella, Eddie (Debbie) Dekleva Jr. great nephews and great nieces, Chad (Kari) Hribar, Bret (Kathy) Hribar, Melinda Ruzanski,
other great great nieces and great great nephews, cousins and many dear friends .
George will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 3pm to 6 Pm at the Comi Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 2, 2021, with recitation of the Rosary at 1 pm followed by the Funeral Mass at 1:30pm.
Entombment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
Arrangements made under the direction of the Comi Funeral Home .
