Ernest Richard (Rick) Sandoval, 63, passed away on Monday August 23, 2021, in Albuquerque, after a long illness.
Rick was born in Raton, NM on June 1, 1958 to Ernest and Eleanor Beatrice (Trujillo) Sandoval. He was preceded in death by his parents and his eldest brother Robert Samuel (Bob) Sandoval. Surviving is brother Roger Don Sandoval and Sister Carol Grano, brother-in-law David Grano. Special Nephew Robert Paul (Bobby) Lucero with whom he spent a lot of time with as Bobby grew up. Special namesake niece Rikki Allison Grano; nephews Nathan Grano and David and Joe Martinez, as well as numerous cousins and friends.
Rick graduated from Raton High School in 1976 and continued to a welding career taking him to Texas, California, and back to New Mexico. During his early days you could find him riding his Harley and playing pool. He peacefully spent the last years of his life living in the South Valley in Albuquerque, with his sister Carol as his caregiver.
Ernest Richard Sandoval requested cremation and asked that no services be held.
