Donna Cecilia Passarelli Trujillo of Trinidad, Colorado passed away peacefully at her home on February 20, 2021. She was 75.
Donna was born in Aguilar, Colorado to Abelino and Annie (Ammons) Passarelli on August 7, 1945. She had six siblings; Anna (Alfred) Romero, Mitchell(Mary) Passarelli, Tina Passarelli, Evelyn (Ron) Moore, Gerald “Jerry” Passarelli, and Duane(Emma) Passarelli.
Her whole life was dedicated to loving her children and grandchildren, from the oldest to the littlest. We will remember her compassion, kindness, and generosity. Donna enjoyed athletics, especially the Miners, and cooking for everyone that she opened her house and heart to. She was the best baseball player to ever come out of Linden Street!
Donna was a “so what, now what” type of person and always stressed the importance of education. Every one of her children went to college. She believed in finding the beauty in life, even in times of hardship; loving without judgment; and always fighting but never giving up. Donna wanted only love, peace, and happiness in this life. She had a heart full of grace and a soul generated by love. We find comfort knowing that she is with God now. The world is a better place because she was in it.
Donna is survived by her children; Alfred Trujillo, Frances (John) Janowich, Irene Trujillo, Donald(Melanie) Trujillo, Lisa Trujillo (Danny Dominguez), and Lenette (Scott) Garcia; 24 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She joins her parents Abelino and Annie; son Mario; granddaughter Tea Trujillo; siblings Tina, Jerry, and Anna; brother-in-laws Alfred and Felix Lujan; and niece Amy Lujan in heaven.
