Thank you for acknowledging my father in law, Perfecto Pacheco. I have very fond memories of Mr. P. (that’s what I called him). He always had great stories that he told his grandchildren of growing up in Dawson and Raton. He was a very loving grandfather to all his grandchildren. He always had gum for his granddaughters and taught them all how to swim and ride bikes. He could swim from the shallow end to the deep end, all underwater. He attributed his strong lungs to growing up in Dawson. I knew him for 31 years and never without dog in his house. On a personal note, both my parents cared for him and respected him very much. He was always good to me and especially his four grandchildren.
