Bernardine (Bernie) Esquibel, age 60 passed away the morning of October 21, 2020 at her home in Las Vegas New Mexico. Bernie was born in Raton, New Mexico, and graduated High school in 1978 in Greely Colorado.
Bernie was a people person and a dedicated worker. Most know Bernie for her work ethic, and many met her through her places of employment. Her smiling face and vibrant attitude will always be remembered. A beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, family was always important to her. She enjoyed traveling to experience new things even if it was just for a ride or even a “quick trip” to the casino.
She is preceded in death by her parents Obed, and (Amalia) Molly Ortiz, and her sister Gwen Mares. She is survived by her husband of 32 years David Esquibel, son Santiago Esquibel and his fiancé Angelica Mondragon, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special nephews Mario and Maverick Mares.
Due to the current situation all services and receiving of guests will be set to a later date and are currently pending.
Arrangements for Bernadine (Bernie) Esquibel are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
