Kerri Lane Martinez was born to Sherry (Gwyn) Martinez on June 18, 1987 and reached the gates of heaven on the morning of September 20, 2020. Kerri was a fun-loving, outgoing girl who had a special connection to children. She could always keep them laughing and smiling and took every chance she had to be around them and spend time. She was talented too especially in the kitchen. The girl could definitely cook. Above all else she had a heart of gold and loved deeply, A mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend gone too soon. Kerri will be missed greatly but will be kept in our hearts and memories forever,
Kerri was preceded in death by her two brothers, Darrell Lee Martinez, and Tanner Logan Martinez, Also by her grandfathers’ Lester Lee Gwyn and Kenneth Darrell Coon,
Kerri is survived by her son Lennox Peyton Cummings, mother Sherry Lee Martinez, grandmother Darlene Coon, sister Kenna Lynn Martinez and spouse Mateo Valdez all of Raton, sister Donna Gardner and spouse John Gardner of T or C, nieces Jet Lynnae Armijo and Ora Lynnie Valdez of Raton, nephews Preston Smith and spouse Allisha Dodds of T or C and Christian Martinez and spouse Desiree Martinez of Pueblo CO. along with many uncles, aunts, cousins, great nieces, and friends.
The Memorial Service for Kerri Lane Martinez will be held October 16, 2020 at the First Baptist Church of Raton, 236 South 3rd Street, at 11:00am with Pastor Nathan Ramirez presiding.
Arrangements for Kerri Lane Martinez are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
