Obituary for Kevin Salazar

Kevin Anthony John Salazar age 20, of Raton, NM, passed away Thursday August 15, 2013 in Colorado. He was born May 26, 1993 in Raton, NM the son of Pennie and Skip Johnson, Kevin was a Artist of all kinds, loved tattooing, Poetry, and music. He was a nature lover and was a kind and tender hearted young man. He had attended the Roswell Youth Challenge Military Academy.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Floyd C. Mares. He is survived by his Parents Pennie and Skip Johnson of Corpus Christi, TX, sister Naomi Mares and brother Zachary Mares of Corpus Christi, TX. And grandmother Jackie Mares.

Memorial services and celebration of love will be Friday August 23, 2013 at 12:00 noon at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home Chapel.

Arrangements and celebration of love for Kevin Anthony John Salazar are under the direction of the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home of Raton.

Kevin was also preceded in death by his grandmother Cora Gonzales. Survivors include his father Johnny Salazar and stepmother Sandra Salazar, brothers; Christian Salazar of Raton NM, John Salazar & family of Albuquerque, Joshua Salazar & family, Jerrod Salazar & family of Trinidad CO, sister; Brandie Sandoval of Rio Rancho NM, Stephanie Brown & family of Trinidad CO. He is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nephews & nieces, and grandfather Christopher Gonzales.

Our memories of Kevin will never be forgotten, he will be greatly missed and in our minds forever.
