On August 15, 2020 Lydia Ann Jones, loving wife and mother, flew away to be with her Heavenly Father.
Ann was born on January 26, 1948 in Clayton, NM to Berry and Camilla Alvis. She married her high school sweetheart, Michael Jones, on August 29, 1969. Together they raised three children in a home filled with unconditional love and laughter.
Ann was the life of any party. The first one to two step when music came on. The one to make sure people felt welcome and at ease. She was a second mom to her children’s friends. She was a listening ear for anyone who needed to talk. She went out of her way to be there for those who were lonely. She was a puppy rescuer, never able to turn her back on an animal in need. She was a bright light to anyone who had the good fortune of calling her a friend. Ann’s family always came first. She often said the only thing she was sure of growing up, was that she wanted to be a wife and mother one day. Endlessly devoted to the love of her life, she cherished being Michael’s wife, and all of the moments they shared together over 50 beautiful years of marriage. Ann also cherished her role as a mother, never failing to remind her three children that no matter how much they loved her, she always loved them more.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Berry and Camilla Alvis. She is survived by her husband, Michael, and three children, Berry, Christian, and Lydia, their spouses Kimberly and Justin, ten grandchildren, one great grandson, and her two sisters, Sandra and Mary Lou.
