Raton New Mexico, pulled off another great fireworks show, albeit with no big crowds cheering on First Street and no big gatherings in other places in town but with lots of small groups all over town.
Cars began to park along First Street as the sun began to set with several individuals firing off fireworks before the main show got under way just after 9:00 p.m. While the show was handled by a private organization the Raton Fire Fighters spent some time in the evenings thrilling kids with the siren as they traveled around Raton to collect donations to help defray the costs of the fireworks display.
