Raton Natural Gas Announces the Energy Efficiency Program and Change of Business Availability

First come first serve, must be a Raton Natural Gas customer, have a natural gas furnace, and you will need to install the programmable thermostat yourself or enlist the help from a local professional to do the install for you as RNG will not be able to assist you in the install and programming of these free units.  They are available on a first-come-first-serve basis and there are 25 programmable thermostats available to 25 commercial customers and 25 residential customers while supplies last.

The benefits of upgrading to a programmable thermostat are

  • Fine-tune temperatures in home and business for optimal comfort for differing times of the day and for while you are away
  • Units are easy to read and easy to use, some will even alert you to change your air filter
  • They are energy-saving machines helping some homeowners pocket $200 a year in savings
  • They can be set to each zone of your home especially helpful for areas unoccupied for long periods of time like the basement, garage or unused bedrooms.

Amid Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) concerns, Raton Natural Gas Company lobby will be closed to the public beginning March 16, 2020, until further notice. The safety of our customers and our employees comes first and is our highest priority.
