Santiago (Flat Bush) E. Lopez age 79 of Raton, NM, passed away Tuesday June 4, 2019 in Raton. He was born March 14, 1940 in Raton. He is the son of Santiago and Della Garcia-Lopez. He was a veteran serving in the United States Army and worked as a plumber and race tracker.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael; brother, Leroy “Tarzen; and nephews Nick and Ernest.
Santiago is survived by his wife Alice of the home; brother Raymond Lopez and wife Linda of Las Cruces; NM; sister, Rosemary Horner of Las Cruces, NM; Nieces, Lillian Esparza and husband Rafael of Albuquerque, NM; Frances Valdez and husband Harold of Albuquerque, NM, Valerie Gonzales and husband Tom of Raton, NM, Sandra Montgomery of Pueblo, CO. and Cindy Lopez of Las Cruces, NM. Nephews, Michael Herrera of Albuquerque, NM and Kevin Horner of Las Cruces, NM.
Visitation will be Monday June 10, 2019 from 8:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home.
Recitation of the Most Holly Rosary will be Monday at 11:00 A.M. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home Chapel recited by Frank Cimino Jr. services will follow at 11:30 with Chaplin Connie Shields officiating.
Burial will follow at the Fairmont Cemetery in Raton.
