Hello, Branson Neighbors and Friends,
Here we grow again! Over the weekend, our Water Worth Protecting Fundraising Campaign grew to more than $21,000, as news of our homegrown drive continues to attract attention. Friends, family, neighbors, and people we’ve never met are sending financial gifts, prayers, and heartfelt support for our success. How far and how fast can Branson go? Our first 33 days takes us to May 6 — and we’re setting our next milestone at $33,000. That’s less than $12,000 from where we now stand! Think of about 34 people giving an average of $350 each. Or, 60 people giving an average of $200 each. Or, 240 people giving an average of $50 each. Any way you slice it, it’s a goal we can meet — though only with your help.
Please share this message with 5 or more people. Mention our Fundraising Campaign in your emails, texts, phone calls, letters, or personal visits. Send folks over to http://www.bransoncolorado.com, where they can learn about Branson’s bootstrapping effort to comply with State-mandated requirements to upgrade our drinking water system. They can also read Updates on our campaign and donate online if they so choose.
Messages like these give us the confidence to press on! From just up the Interstate a bit, “…(My granddad) was a lifelong cattle rancher and I know he’d understand and support a small town and good country folk trying to hold onto their way of life.” Or this one, from Northern California, “It does not sit right with me that a tiny town has to raise such an enormous sum of money for public infrastructure for a basic life necessity! Nevertheless, your ambitiousness is praiseworthy — you can do this!”
Today’s shout-outs go to the Rocky Ford Daily Gazette and Huerfano World Journal for sharing our story with their readers. Branson Water is Water Worth Protecting! Pass it on…
