Colfax County producers are reminded that the County and the Soil Water Conservation District (SWCD) are jointly running a groundwater monitoring project in conjunction with Zeigler Geologic Consulting and they still have plenty of slots for producers to participate!
What does this gain you? Static water level measurements of your wells twice a year and water sample analyses for chemistry, hydrogen isotopes and carbon-14. In addition, we have nine data loggers that need homes. These devices measure water level daily and are installed in abandoned wells with standing water that don’t have a pump or anything else still in them.
