Theresa B. Duran age 59, passed away unexpectedly at home on December 13, 2018.
She is the daughter of Gloria Starkey and Antonio Lamorie Medina and was born February 12, 1959.
She grew up in Weston Colorado and lived in Weston, Trinidad, Pueblo and Durango during her lifetime. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Fort Lewis College in Durango with her Masters Degree. She enjoyed years of work at the Trinidad State Nursing home as well as her time taking care of her home health care clients.
On her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, cooking, and crafting.She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, family and friends. She was a good friend to all and was loved by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her son Wesley Duran, Brother Rocky Kaiser, father Antonio Lamorie Medina, grandmother Theresa M. Duran, grandfather Henry Duran. Godmother Susie Archuleta, Godfather Joe Archuleta.
She is survived by mother Gloria Starkey, Daughter Melissa Mestas, son John Mestas, granddaughter Santana Mestas, grandson Trinity Martinez, sisters Joy Medina and Roxanne (Ronnie) Fernandez , God daughters Joni Lopez and Sarah Maes. as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, from 3PM-6PM at the Comi Chapel.
Rosary will be Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 7PM at Holy Trinity Church.
Funeral Mass will be Thursday, December 20 2018 at 10AM at Holy Trinity Church.
Interment will follow at the Weston Cemetery.
Honorary Pallbearers are Joni Lopez, and Melvin Duran.
Active pallbearers are Ryan Griego, Teddy Garcia, Timothy John (TJ) Fernandez, Charles Lopez, Julian Munoz, Ernie Davalos.
