Leo Arguello

Leo Arguello, age 88, died Thursday, December 6, 2018 at his home in Mosquero, New Mexico.
Rosary will be recited at 8:30 A.M. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 and Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mosquero, New Mexico with Fr. Bob Peccatiello as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Mosquero Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Leo Arguello was born on September 17, 1930 in Albert, New Mexico to Diego Arguello and Genoveva (Montano) Arguello. He started working as a Cowboy at a very early age and continued to Cowboy for many years. He later went to work at Schwartz Carbonic in Bueyeros where he retired in 1993 after over 30 years. Leo lived most of his life in the Mosquero area with the exception of a couple of years that he lived in Dalhart, Texas and Nara Visa, New Mexico. Leo married Stella Josephine (Griego) Arguello on May 4, 1951 and she preceded him in death on July 3, 2001. In addition to his wife and parents, Leo was preceded in death by 2 daughters; Gloria Hazen and Marcella Arguello, a sister; Alvera Baca and a brother; Victor Arguello.

5 DAUGHTERS: Veronica Harris and her husband Michael of Coweta, Oklahoma, Irene Martinez and her husband Alfonso of Espanola, New Mexico, Christine Trujillo and her husband Thomas of Mosquero, New Mexico, Ruby Vigil and her husband John of Logan, New Mexico and Lydia Montano of Clovis, New Mexico.
5 SONS: Leo Arguello, Jr. and his wife Jessie of Killeen, Texas, Tommy Arguello and his wife Louise and Benjamin Arguello all of Clovis, New Mexico, Joseph Arguello and his wife Sherry of Amarillo, Texas and Bobby Arguello and his wife Shannon of Hobbs, New Mexico.
24 Grandchildren, 26 Great-Grandchildren, 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
5 SISTERS: Annie Bailey and her husband Kenneth of Tucumcari, New Mexico, Corrine Baca and her husband Louis and Jane Sandoval and her husband Mateo all of Mosquero, New Mexico, Tillie Archuleta of Clovis, New Mexico and Sister Marie Carmen of Adrian, Michigan.
2 BROTHERS: Eloy Arguello and his wife Raphelita of Logan, New Mexico and Johnny Arguello and his wife Lorenda of Los Lunas, New Mexico.
And numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
