In Loving Memory of Elsie Lynda Williams Amato

Ms. Elsie Lynda Williams Amato, 83, of Taylorsville, NC passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Valley Nursing.

Lynda was born on November 6, 1935 to Sherron W. Williams and Elsie Pearl Hodges.

She grew up in Fort Worth, Texas and then lived for many years in Clayton, NM. Just to name a few of her amazing talents, Lynda was a ranch wife, accomplished seamstress, and outstanding cook. Once her children got older, she returned to her profession of legal secretary. Lynda eventually lived in Florida and retired from the state. She had been a secretary for the D.A. and an intake clerk for Pinellas County. She then settled in North Carolina except for the time she spent on the road in her RV visiting family in Texas, New Mexico and California.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Sherron L. Williams, of Fort Worth, Texas.

Lynda is survived by one brother, Dan Williams of Fort Worth, Texas; four children, JC Mayfield and wife, Paula, of Warner Springs, CA, Deborah Mayfield Cody of Taylorsville, NC, Natalie Biffle Hefner and husband, Terry, of Taylorsville, NC, Rebecca Biffle Moolhuysen and husband, Roy, of Tucumcari, NM; grandchildren, Jay Mayfield of Sandpoint, ID, Casey Mayfield and wife, Megan, of Hauser, ID, Caitlin Hefner Davis and husband, Trevor, of Raleigh, NC, Nathan Gage Hefner and fiancée, Breeanna, of Taylorsville, NC and Amber Nicole Rivera of Tucumcari, NM; great-grandchildren, Cassie and Cole Mayfield and Samuel Blake Hefner.

Lynda, Mom, Nana, Grandma will be missed beyond measure by all.

A memorial will be planned in the future when family members are together.

She was passionate about animal rescue and if desired, please donate to one in her memory.
