Its been an exciting and long week of homecoming activities in Raton as the high school classes competed in various activities during the week to tighten the spirit and bring the kids together.
Monday was inside out day with Tuesday as Pixar Character day. Wednesday the students participated in a Rowdeo where the classes competed in blindfolded musical chairs and dodge ball. The Sophomore class won that competition as they won the most games. Wednesday evening finished off with a powder puff football game where the senior girls literally ran away with the ball scoring several very long yardage TDs and winning the game 28-0. The Senior boys competed against the Junior boys in a cheer competition and the seniors come out with the trophy.
On Thursday the Lady Tigers hosted Tucumcari for a volleyball match that started out great but soon turned around and left Raton dragon their tails. (see Related Story http://krtnradio.com/2018/09/28/raton-drops-five-game-match-to-tucumcari-thursday/)

That afternoon the annual Homecoming Parade was held in Downtown Raton on Historic First Street, albeit under construction, with the Junior Class garnering the first place ribbon for their float followed by the Sophomore Class and the Freshman with the Seniors holding an Honorable Mention. Community Float ribbons went to the Oldham Family for first place, the KRTN Towmator took second and the NRA followed with a third.
