John T. Lopez, age 84, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday August 12, 2018. He was born December 27, 1933 to the late Abel Lopez and Frances Vigil. He served in the Navy in January 12, 1955. John lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with his friends and family, gardening and sharing his crops with the townsfolk, he also loved telling jokes and making people laugh. He was a tough man and loved spending time with his son,
John is survived by his on Eric Lopez, granddaughter Kendra Dollarhide, 4 great grandchildren, his sister Maria Lopez and numerous step children & grandchildren, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family & friends whose lives John touched are invited to his memorial in the Chapel of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., Raton, NM, with Deacon Ed Olona Officiating.
