Clara Frances (Largent) Eiland left her earthly home in Clayton, New Mexico, to join Jesus in their heavenly home on August 23, 2018.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 27, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Pastor Terrell Jones, pastor of the Trinity Fellowship Church in Clayton, officiating. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery in Clayton, New Mexico by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.
Clara Frances “Fran” (Largent) Eiland was born on December 19, 1918 in Merkel, Texas to Willie Joe Largent and Clara Mae (Saffle) Largent. She lived on the family ranch in Merkel and graduated from Hardin Simmons University. Fran married Royce Cherry Eiland on May 18, 1940 and he preceded her in death on February 24, 2003. After they were married, they moved to Stanton, Texas until they became ranchers at the Largent and Sons ranch near Folsom, New Mexico where they lived until 1961. They moved to Kansas for a short time before moving to Hereford, Texas and they returned to Folsom in 1966. Their final move was to Clayton, New Mexico in 1977. Fean lived a full life surrounded and loved by a multitude of friends and family that were greatly influenced by her love for and sincere belief in her Savior, Jesus Christ. Much gratitude goes to her care givers, the nurses and staff at Union County General Hospital, Mary, Vivian and especially Cherry Lynne who was a solid rock in the final days. Your loving care was priceless! In addition to ranching, Fran was a substitute teacher for several years and served as the Mayor of Folsom for a few years. In addition to her parents and husband, Fran was preceded in death by 2 grandsons; Zachery Morrison and Carson Stacy and by her brother; Bill Largent and his wife Ernestine.

1 DAUGHTER: Cherry Lynne Reif and her husband Donald of Clayton, New Mexico.
2 SONS: Graydon “Don” Eiland and his wife Judy of Abilene, Texas and John Eiland of Clayton, New Mexico.
5 GRANDCHILDREN: Mark Reif and his wife Londa of Clayton, New Mexico, Lynne Cleavinger and her husband Dave of Levelland, Texas, Ryan Eiland of Brussels, Belgium, Stephanie Barham and her husband Brad of Abilene, Texas and J. C. Morrison and his wife Delsie of Henderson, Nevada.
19 Great-Grandchildren: Sarah, Shelby, Carson, Clay, Marlon, Shaleigh, Grace, Josiah, Joel, Rebekah, Esther, Lydia, Faith, Elisabeth, Norah, Elliot, Zachary, Cash and Jace.
And 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren: Brooklyn, Zaelyn and Harper.
MEMORIALS: The family asks that memorials be made in Fran’s memory to The Gideons International.
