Dorothy M. Mayer age 88 of Maxwell, New Mexico, passed away on Thursday July 5, 2018 in Maxwell. She was born March 18, 1930 in Amarillo, Texas, the daughter of Jessie and Oda Meek- Bartlett. Dorothy worked as an LPN for 25 years and retired from the Miners Colfax Medical Center. Dorothy was a devote Catholic, Mother, Daughter and Grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul and brother R.E. Bartlett. Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Patricia Casados of Maxwell, Roberta Harkness of Pueblo, CO. Son Max Mance and wife Julie of Maxwell. Seven grandchildren Daniel Casados of Casper, WY, Angela Casados of Raton, James Castillo of Canyon City, CO, Victoria Sintas of Pueblo West, CO, Amanda Mance Chapman and husband Garrett of Gig Harbor, WA, Amy Mance Hronich and husband Joe of Raton, Kaitlyn Mance Gomez and husband Alan of Maxwell, and 8 great grand children.
At Dorothy’s request there will be no services. The family requests if donations are to be made in Dorothy’s name they be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Catholic church in Maxwell or the humane society in Raton.
