Zach Redd Heads to Nationals

Zach Redd of Raton has qualified for the Amsoil Amateur National Arenacross Championships to be held in Las Vegas, NV on May 6th, 2018.  He qualified in both the 65cc (7-9) class and the 65cc open (7-11) class in the Midwest Region.  He placed 1st in overall points in the open (7-11) class and 3rd in overall points in the (7-9) class.  In Las Vegas, he will compete with the top 3 kids from each of the 5 regions.

During the winter months, Redd placed 1st in overall points in the Kicker Arenacross Winter series in the 65cc (7-9) class and 3rd in overall points in the 65cc outlaw (7-11) class.  Even though winter was supposed to be his “off season” that didn’t stop him from wanting to race and racing well.

This year he is already off to a great start in the Colorado RMXA series and SRAC series and is currently in the top 3 in both series for his age group. Both of these series run until October 2018.

At the age of 9 he already has 2 ½ years of racing under his belt, and has accomplished many things and has been to many places, meeting and making lots of new friends along the way. He continues this hard work and dedication with his priorities in mind (1. Health, 2. School, and 3. Racing)  Of course he thinks #3 is the best!!

Zach is the son of Jessica Gonzales and Casey Redd, and the grandson of Jimmy and Bobbie Gonzales and the late Glen & Diane Redd and is the great-grandson of Bob and Bernie George.

Zach wants to thank everyone for their support and encouragement!! Good Luck Zach!!
