Cabresto Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Charette Lakes: Fishing was fair using garlic PowerBait for rainbow trout. We had no reports on perch.
Clayton Lake: Fishing was good using PowerBait and worms for trout. Several limits were reported. We had no reports on other species. The boat ramp is open.
Cimarron River: Stream flow below Eagle Nest on Monday was 1.08 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.
Conchas Lake: Fishing was slow using crank baits and slab spoons for white bass. Fishing for largemouth bass and smallmouth bass was slow with just a few caught by anglers using swim baits and jigs. Fishing for catfish was rated as slow to fair by anglers using homemade dough baits and liver. We had no other reports.
Costilla Creek: We had no reports from anglers.
Cowles Ponds: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Coyote Creek: Trout fishing was slow. Fishing pressure was very light.
Eagle Nest Lake: Bank fishing was slow to fair using PowerBait for rainbow trout up to 19 inches in length. We had no reports on other species. Fishing pressure was light. The lake was about 95 percent clear of ice, but it has been icing up somewhat overnight and is closed to all types of boating. For updated conditions, contact the state park office at (575) 377-1594.
Gallinas River: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Hopewell Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Lake Alice: We had no reports from anglers this week. As of this past weekend, the lake was completely free of ice.
Lake Maloya: There were some open areas for bank fishing this past week. Fishing was rated as fair by anglers using corn and PowerBait for trout. For updated ice conditions, call the state park office at (575) 445-5607.
Los Pinos River: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Maxwell Lake 13: Fishing was fair to good using PowerBait for trout. We had no reports on other species.
Monastery Lake: Fishing was good using wooly buggers, PowerBait and Fire Balls for trout.
Morphy Lake: Fishing was slow to fair using salmon peach and garlic PowerBait for trout.
Pecos River: Streamflow near Pecos on Monday was 22.9 cfs. Fishing in the Villanueva area was fair to good using salmon eggs and PowerBait for trout.
Red River: Stream flow below the hatchery on Monday was 45.1 cfs. Fishing was fair to good using PowerBait and Fire Balls for trout.
Red River City Ponds: We had no reports.
Rio Grande: Stream flow on Monday at the Taos Junction Bridge was 490 cfs. Fishing in the Taos area was fair using San Juan worms, copper John Barrs, bead-head hare’s ears, streamers and night crawlers for trout. We had no other reports.
Rio Hondo: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Rio Mora: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Rio Pueblo: Stream flow near Penasco was 14.4 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.
Santa Cruz Reservoir: Fishing for trout was very good using a variety of baits and lures. Neil Vangese reported catching and releasing several rainbow and brown trout over the weekend. He was fishing the east side of the lake and using green and cheese PowerBait, Gulp corn, yellow and red Pistol Petes and several Panther Martin patterns.
Shuree Ponds: Closed for the season.
Springer Lake: Fishing was slow to fair using large streamers and swim baits for northern pike. We had no other reports.
Storrie Lake: Fishing was slow to fair using PowerBait for trout.
Stubblefield Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Ute Lake: Fishing was fair using live minnows for walleye. Fishing for white bass was fair using slab spoons and crank baits. Fishing for largemouth bass and smallmouth bass was slow to fair for anglers using crank baits, spinners and small swim baits. Fishing was fair to good using liver, worms and stink bait for catfish. The surface water temp was in the high 40s to right at 50 degrees.
Northwest
Abiquiu Lake: Fishing was slow for all species. Fishing pressure was extremely light.
Animas River: Water flow below Aztec on Monday morning was 124 cfs. Fishing was fair to good using PowerBait, salmon eggs, San Juan worms and spinners for trout.
Albuquerque Area Drains: Fishing for trout in the Albuquerque, Albuquerque (South), Corrales, Belen and Peralta drains was good using PowerBait, Fire Balls, worms and wooly buggers. We had no other reports.
Bluewater Lake: Fishing from the bank was fair using PowerBait, corn and worms for trout. We had no reports on other species. The lake was completely free of ice.
Brazos River: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Canjilon Lakes: Closed by the U.S. Forest Service until further notice. The area may reopen later this year.
Chama River: Monday morning water flows below El Vado and Abiquiu were 72.4 cfs and 50.8 cfs respectively. Fishing below El Vado was fair for anglers using small wooly buggers, zebra midges and worms for trout. Fishing below Abiquiu was fair using earth worms, PowerBait and micro midges.
Cochiti Lake: Fishing was slow for all species.
El Vado Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Fenton Lake: Fishing was good using worms, Berkley power worms, PowerBait, salmon eggs, leech patterns and Pistol Petes for brown and rainbow trout. As of Monday morning, the lake was free of ice.
Heron Lake: Fishing was good using roe sacs and garlic scented baits for rainbow trout. LeRoy Paz of Albuquerque caught several rainbows over the weekend. He was using yellow garlic PowerBait and most of the fish were over 18 inches. We had no other reports.
Jackson Lake: Fishing was fair to good using PowerBait, worms and small spoons for trout. We had no other reports.
Jemez Waters: Stream flow on the Jemez River near Jemez Springs on Monday morning was 25.5 cfs. Fishing on the Jemez was good using worms and salmon eggs for trout. We had no reports on other streams.
Laguna del Campo: Closed for the season.
Lagunitas Lakes: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Lake Farmington: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Manzano Lake: Fishing was fair using garlic PowerBait, Fire Balls and wooly buggers for trout. David Policansky fished here last Wednesday and reported fair success using small bead-head wooly buggers.
Navajo Lake: Fishing was slow but there was a little bass and pike activity as a few were caught by anglers using small swim baits, curly tail grubs and jigs. We had no other reports. The surface water temp was in the mid to high 40s.
San Gregorio Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
San Juan River: Stream flow on Monday morning was 364 cfs. Fly fishing action through the Quality waters was good using bead-head pheasant tail nymphs, red annelids, rootbeers, zebra midges, bunny leeches, San Juan worms, scintillas, RS2s and 1/16-ounce marabou jigs. Trout fishing through the bait waters was fair to good using Panther Martins, marabou jigs, PowerBait, night crawlers and Fire Balls. There have been some decent midge hatches coming off in the late morning to mid-afternoon hours.
Seven Springs Brood Pond: Fishing was good using garlic PowerBait for trout.
Tingley Beach: Trout fishing at the Youth and Central ponds was rated as excellent by anglers using garlic and salmon peach PowerBait, Berkley power worms, Gulp eggs, Fire Balls, worms and Pistol Petes. We had no other reports.
Trout Lakes: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Alumni Pond: Fishing was fair to good using garlic PowerBait and Velveeta cheese for trout. We had no other reports.
Bear Canyon Lake: Fishing was good using worms, PowerBait and spinners for trout. We had no other reports.
Bill Evans Lake: Fishing was good using PowerBait, worms and Fire Balls for trout. We had no other reports.
Caballo Lake: Fishing was fair using swim baits and crank bait for white bass. We had no other reports.
Elephant Butte Lake: Fishing was good using crank baits, jig and grub combinations, spoons and blade baits for white bass. Fishing for largemouth bass was fair using tubes, jigs, crank baits and swim baits. Fishing was fair to good using liver, homemade dough bait and worms for catfish. We had no reports on other species.
Escondida Lake: Fishing was good using PowerBait, Fire Balls, Zeke’s trout bait and worms for trout. A few were also caught by anglers using Pistol Petes and Panther Martins. We had no other reports.
Gila River: Stream flow on Monday morning was 102 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.
Glenwood Pond: Fishing was good using PowerBait and salmon eggs for trout.
Lake Roberts: Fishing was good using PowerBait, worms and Fire Balls for rainbow trout. A few catfish were caught by anglers using worms. We had no other reports.
Percha Dam: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Quemado Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Rancho Grande Ponds: Fishing was good using garlic PowerBait for trout.
Rio Grande: Stream flow below Elephant Butte Monday morning was 1,170 cfs. Fishing was very good using PowerBait and worms for trout. Fishing was good using liver and stink bait for catfish. Fishing was fair using curly tail grubs and worms for walleye. We had no other reports.
Snow Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Young Pond: Fishing was good for anglers using garlic PowerBait and salmon eggs for trout. We had no other reports

Alto Lake: Fishing was fair to good using PowerBait, Gulp eggs and worms for trout. We had no other reports.
Bataan Lake: Fishing was good using PowerBait, spinners, Pistol Petes and worms for trout. We had no other reports.
Black River: Stream flow at Malaga on Monday was 13.4 cfs. Fishing was slow with just a few trout caught by anglers using PowerBait.
Blue Hole Park Pond: Fishing was very good using garlic PowerBait and Velveeta cheese for trout.
Bonito Lake: Closed until further notice by the city of Alamogordo due to fire damage.
Bosque Redondo Lake: Fishing was fair to good using Panther Martins, Z Rays, PowerBait and worms for trout. We had no other reports.
Bottomless Lakes: Fishing was fair using PowerBait, salmon eggs and Copper John Barrs for trout.
Brantley Lake: Anglers are required to catch and release all fish here as high levels of pesticides have been found in some fish. We had no reports from anglers this week.
Carlsbad Municipal Lake: Fishing was fair to good using PowerBait, salmon eggs and worms for trout. Fishing was fair to good using tubes, swim baits and curly tail grubs for spotted bass and largemouth bass. We had no other reports.
Chaparral Park Lake: Fishing was good using PowerBait for trout.
El Rito Creek: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Eunice Lake: Fishing was fair to good using PowerBait for trout.
Green Meadow Lake: Fishing was fair using PowerBait and Fire Balls for trout. We had no other reports.
Greene Acres Lake: Fishing was fair to good using salmon peach and garlic PowerBait for trout.
