In Loving Memory of Alice Garcia

Alice Garcia, age 87 went peacefully at, to be with the Lord, on December 26, 2017.
Alice was born January 9, 1930 to Joe N and Elvira Martinez in Ocate, NM.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Albert B. Garcia; Son, Bennie Garcia; Grandson Bennie Garcia Jr. Parents Joe and Elvira Martinez, Sisters, Julia Cordova, Flora Salazar.
Alice is survived by Son; Albert Garcia Jr. and spouse Carol. Daughters; Gloria Rose and husband Delbert, Jane Medina. Daughter-In-Law, Juanita Garcia of Odessa, TX. Sisters; Viola Avila and Manuel of Albuquerque, Nancy Valdez of Raton, Nora Cruz of Springer, and Dolores Fernandez and Donnie of Raton. Brothers; Gilbert Martinez and Julia of Raton, Johnny Martinez and Ernestine of Springer.
Alice is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 22? Great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren.
Alice was a homemaker almost her entire life. She did work at SRF Products for a brief while on the assembly line and later as an inspector. She also worked some at Newbery’s soda fountain, and the Grandview Motel here in Raton as a maid for a while.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be on Friday December 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, recited by John Medina. Solemn Mass of The Resurrection will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Bill Woytavich as the Celebrant.
Pallbearers: Kevin Garcia, David Garcia, Nathan Medina, James Garcia, Gilbert Martinez and Johnny Martinez, Honorary Pallbearers: Derrick Garcia and Richie Tyler Gonzales.
Rite of Committal and Internment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
