Ben R. Farias, age 81, died on Thursday, November 9, 2017, in Clayton, New Mexico.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Fr. Joel Bugas, Celebrant. Arrangements are under the direction of Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Ben R. Farias was born on March 21, 1936 in Clayton, New Mexico to Frank Farias and Frances (Salazar) Farias. A lifelong resident of Clayton, Ben graduated from Clayton High School and worked most of his life as a mechanic. He owned and operated his own garage for many years. For the last several years, Ben worked for Pinnacle Propane in Clayton. Ben was preceded in death by his father; Frank Farias on June 15, 1981, his mother; Frances (Salazar) Farias on June 2, 2007 and by a brother; Frankie Farias on November 8, 2011.
SURVIVORS:
3 DAUGHTERS: Hilaire Farias of Clayton, New Mexico, Terri Vaughn of Carlsbad, New Mexico and Vickie Mansey of Colorado.
1 SON: Ben R. Farias, Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona.
Grandchildren: Addison Farias and Seyena Nicole Farias.
2 SISTERS: Margaret Tucker and her husband Kenneth of Aurora, Colorado and Barbara Mann and her husband Kirk of Clayton, New Mexico.
2 BROTHERS: Phillip E. Farias and Cheryl Snakenberg of Loveland, Colorado and Max R. Farias and his wife Ruby of Albuequerque, New Mexico.
