Thomas J. Trujillo Sr., passed away unexpectedly on January 26, 2017 at Parkview Hospital at the age of 64.
Tom was born in Trinidad, Colorado on September 15, 1952.
He attended area schools graduating from Trinidad High School in 1970.
On April 12, 1980, tom was united in marriage to Lucille Trujillo in Trinidad, CO.
He was employed for some time at the New Elk Mine and for the past 31 years, he has worked for the City of Trinidad Parks and Recreation Department. He also was employed at Wal Mart.
Tom loved to go fishing with his grandchildren. He liked playing basketball and participating in weekly pools. Tom was an avid Denver Broncos fan.
He was most proud if his family and grandchildren who loved him dearly.
Preceding him in death is mother Nellie Griego, step father, Lalo Griego, grandparents Cecelia and Juan Rivera, father in law, Victor Trujillo. mother in law, Stella Stelle, brothers in law, Edward Trujillo, Manuel Garcia, James (Jim Bob) Cook, sister in law, Cristy Rivera, nephew Pancho Sotelo and niece Angel Garcia.
Survivors are wife Lucille of home address, son Thomas (Liz) Trujillo Jr., Pueblo, daughter Monica Trujillo, Pueblo, grandchildren Angie Dominguez, Francisco Raygoza, Aliseya Dickinson, Thomas Trujillo III, brothers Charles (Rose) Trujillo, Pueblo, Gilbert (Trish) Trujillo, Pueblo, David (Cheryl) Rivera, Co. Springs, John Rivera, Trinidad, sisters, Mary Sotelo, Denver, Cecelia Huckabay, Pueblo, Juanita Cook, Trinidad, Linda (Ralph) Lucero, Pueblo, Rita (Hector) Denver, brothers and sisters in law, Tony Trujillo, Albuquerque, NM, Mike Trujillo, Raton, NM, Victor (Daryl) Trujillo, Co. Springs, Lawrence (Rayetta) Trujillo, Raton, NM ,Regina Ruelas, Albuquerque, NM, Patsy Garcia, Raton, NM,, numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2PM-7Pm at the Comi Chapel.
Funeral Services will be Friday, February 3, 2017 with Rosary at 9AM at the Comi Chapel followed by the Funeral Mass at10AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Interment with Rite of committal will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Gilbert Trujillo, John Rivera, Charles Trujillo, David Rivera, John Romero and Bob Huckabay.
