In a Galaxy Far Far Far away, Whoa this doesn’t look like an alien land, and its not, its a remote location in Sugarite Canyon where Raton High graduate and New Mexico State college student Lucas Jansen is working on a video project.

The project is to enter a contest sponsored by Lucas Films. Each year Lucas Films holds a contest for people who want to produce a fan film about Star Wars. Jansen brought his project back to the Raton area because of his love for the area. He noted that the cast has also enjoyed the area.

Jansen will be videoing scenes for video for the next three days and then its back to post processing where the editors will take the raw video and perform their special effects magic and produce a 5-minute video for the contest. Jansen noted its a lot of work to produce a 5-minute video.
