Alexander N. Cirone, age 86, passed away on August 31, 2016 at Mt. San Rafael Hospital.
He was born in Jansen, CO on December 23, 1929, the son of Rosie (Blasi) and Antonio Cirone.
On April 18, 1953, Alexander was united in marriage to Frances Milavec in Trinidad, CO.
Alex hauled and sold produce, was a construction heavy equipment operator, having helped build the Trinidad Dam. He retired from the Las Animas County Road and Bridge Department.
He loved the outdoors and liked to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed watching football and wrestling on TV.
In his spare time he loved to bowl. His greatest love was his family and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and liked attending their sporting activities.
Preceding him in death are parents, Rosie (Cirone) Corradino, and Antonio Cirone, step father Isadore Corradino, brother Francis “Dick” Cirone, brothers in law, Joe Monteleone, and Thomas Ferrero.
He is survived by wife Frances Cirone, children, Anthony (Lois) Cirone, Carol (Charlie) Mincic, Ron (Robin) Cirone, Cheryl (Mike) Mincic, grandchildren, Lynette (Matt) Berry, Denise Cirone, Jason Cirone, Melissa Mincic, Dustin (Michelle) Mincic, Matthew (Tonya) Mincic, Cara (Daniel) Vigil, Brad (Darci) Mincic, Shaylynn (Dillon) Thurston, great grandchildren, William Wyatt , Warren, Sariyah , Aimee , Liam, Logan, Olivia, Callie, Blakely, and Kenley.
Also surviving are Alex’s sisters Jayne Monteleone, Carmela Ferrero, numerous nieces, nephews and relatives
Visitation will be Monday from 3PM-6PM at the Comi Chapel.
Funeral Services are Tuesday, September 6, 2016 with Rosary at Noon at the Comi Chapel followed by the Funeral Mass at 1PM at Sebastiani Gym.
Interment with Rite of Committal will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are grandsons Dustin Mincic, Matthew Mincic, Brad Mincic, Jason Cirone, Dillon Thurston, Daniel Vigil and Matthew Berry.
