Cecilia Gonzales Trujillo, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, 73, of Springer, N.M. was embraced by the Lord and taken to her heavenly home, Wednesday, August 24, 2016.
Cecilia was born December 10th, 1942 in Mosquero, N.M. , the youngest daughter of Desiderio (JD) and Visintita Gonzales.
Cecilia lived in Springer most of her life where she met Jose Abel Trujillo. They were married for 53 blessed years and raised three children.
Cecilia was a waitress and homemaker. She enjoyed doing crafts and made many beautiful things for her family and friends. She loved music and to sing. She sang with different people for many church functions throughout her life. She loved playing Bingo with her friends, going to craft shows with her daughter and going to the Casinos with her husband.
She had a big heart and was a loving, giving person. She treasured her friends and loved her family deeply. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
Cecilia is survived by her husband, Abel Trujillo of Springer, daughter Emeline Trujillo of Albuquerque, sons, Patrick Trujillo and Jose Trujillo both of Springer, grandson, Phillip Trujillo of Albuquerque, grandson Brian Trujillo of Raton, sister Adeline Lopez of Albuquerque. sister, Sister Carmen of Adrian, Michigan and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cecilia was preceded in death by her parents, Visintita and Desiderio (JD) Gonzales, brother, Benny Gonzales, sister Amelia Gonzales, Alice Tafoya, Priscilla Sandoval, Marie Blea and nephew Jerry Dean Lopez.
Pall bearers will be Phillip Trujillo, Jerry Avila, David Gonzales, Steve Tafoya, Tony Valdez and Sam Roy. Honorary pallbearers are Brian Trujillo (grandson) and all her nieces and nephews.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Monday, August 29, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Springer, N.M. recited by Eloy Mondragon. The Solemn Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:30 A.M. with Father Emmanuel Izuka as the celebrant. Rite of Christian Burial will be in the Springer Cemetery in Springer, N.M.
Arrangements and celebration of love for Cecilia Trujillo are under the direction of the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home of Raton, N.M.
