In Loving Memory of Loretta Moore

Loretta Moore was given to Adelina and Vincenzo Vallucci by the Lord on December 9, 1929. She was taken by the Lord on August 16, 2016 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Loretta’s parents immigrated t the United States from Arpino, Italy and settled in the coal mining town of Brilliant, New Mexico. When Loretta was 14 years old, the family moved to Raton, where she lived the remainder of her life.
moore lLoretta attended and graduated from Raton Public Schools. Upon graduation, she was employed by First National Bank, International State Bank and Koehler Mining. She volunteered for many years at the MCMC Thrift Shop.
Loretta was a talented artist and enjoyed painting. Her handiwork in crochet produced many beautiful items.
Loretta had a great devotion to her family and held a special place in her heart for children, especially her nieces and nephews.
Loretta was devout Catholic and a member of St. Patrick’s – St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Loretta was preceded in death by her first husband, Lewis Morris, her husband of 38 years, Edward Moore, her parents, and two brothers, Frank and Tony Vallucci.
Loretta is survived by sisters Bertha (Everett) Trollinger, Georgina (Jim) Lockhart, Deanna (Bert) Adams, all of Albuquerque, Antoinette Bertola and Pasqualina Sciacca of Raton, Elena Aston of Santa Fe, sisters-in-law, Patricia Vallucci of Albuquerque and Sue (Jim) Strouse of Denver, Colorado and many nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Loretta’s wishes, a private service will be held. Those wishing to make a donation in Loretta’s memory may contribute to Mt. Calvary Cemetery. 
“When our mortal eyes close for the last time, our angels open our spiritual eyes and escort us personally before the face of God.”
Arrangements and celebration of love for Loretta Moore are under the direction of the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home of Raton.
