In Loving Memory of Juan Carlos Vallejos

Juan Carlos Vallejos, age 42 was born on November 30, 1973 in Trinidad, CO and passed away August 3, 2016 in Greeley, CO.
He graduated from Trinidad High School, Trinidad State Jr. College and received his BA and MA in secondary education from UNC Greeley, CO. He was an educator and coach for Trinidad High School and Northridge High School in Greeley, CO.
Juan Carlos Pic (1)Juan Carlos was an exceptional athlete and coach who excelled in football, wrestling, baseball and golf.  As an all-state quarterback, he led the Trinidad Miners to a state championship.  He also coached a state wrestling championship team at Northridge High School.  Juan Carlos enjoyed teaching, learning, music,(playing his guitar and singing). He loved being with his family, friends and students.  He will be missed by so many who loved him.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Al and Gertrude Vallejos, Arlene Ortiz, aunt and uncles Sandra and Jeff Klem and George Ortiz Jr. 
His is survived by his grandfather. George Ortiz Sr., parents Georganne and Jack Vallejos,  daughter Courtney Ann (Duffy) Johnson, sons Marcos Juan and Diego Juan Vallejos, grandchild Violet Hayes Johnson, ex-wife Jessica Vallejos, brother J.J Vallejos, nieces Jackielynn, Jamielynn, Jessielynn. great niece Sophia and  ex- sister in law Selina Vallejos.
Also surviving is uncle/ godfather Orace(Marilyn) Vallejos, aunt/godmother Jeanine (David) Esquibel, cousins Gina (Andrew) Esquibel, Anthony and Brandon Martinez, uncle Lee Maldonado, cousins Jeremey and Jeff (Gina) Maldonado, Adam , Noah and Brandon, aunt Erika (Dante) cousins, Kayleigh and Daniel Vallejos, Godchildren, Justin Sanchez and Elyissa Dominguez.
Juan is survived by his fiancée Roshel Hernandez and her family, so many special friends, students and family members.
Memorial Graveside Services will be held Friday, August 19, 2016 at 11AM at the Trinidad Masonic Cemetery.
If possible, please wear Trinidad Miner colors Blue and White or Northridge Grizzly colors Navy Blue and Burgundy.
 
A condolence/celebration luncheon will immediately follow.    Everyone is invited  to join family and friends to honor Juan’s memory.
 
The family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers and food, donations be made to the George S. Ortiz Trinidad Miner Memorabilia Hall in care of School District #1.
