RATON — Each year, Raton’s Professional Business Women invite the public to nominate women who have made significant contributions to the community. During the months leading up to the January deadline, many offices, organizations and even the school community thought long and hard about the women who have distinguished themselves in their careers and other community activities. To be nominated for Raton’s Woman of the Year is a prestigious recognition which is looked forward to by all.
This year, six hardworking and inspiring women have been nominated by their peers and/or members of the community. Side by side, these women are a symbol of strength and dedication through all they have done in Raton. Sheri Romero, Linde’ Schuster, Janet Iacobelli, Laura Heider, Brenda Ferri and Barbara Bonahoom will be giving PBW’s panel of judges a very difficult time to declare an overall winner. The results will be announced at a dinner held in the honor of the nominees on Thursday, February 25, at 6 pm.
