Ernie R. Flores of Raton, New Mexico passed away on December 19, 2015 in Pueblo, CO at the age of 67. He was born May 29, 1948 in Raton to the Late Enoch and Annie Flores.
Ernie served his country as a US Marine in the Vietnam War. He was an avid musician who played in many bands in the Raton and surrounding areas. He was a grater operator for the Colfax Country Road Department and retired after 30 years. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. He never knew a stranger. He touched the lives of many people young and old. While raising his own children he brought in all their friends and took them in as his own. He enjoyed his den, music, his yard. He also enjoyed the company of family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one son Londo Flores.
He is survived by the love of his life of 42 years Donna Flores, one brother David Flores and wife Rita, two daughters Tashawnda Schuttle and Lanelle Flores, one son Daniel Flores and wife Melissa, grandchildren Tiana and Fiancé Sheena ( Aliyah, Isaiah) Alex, Talawnna, Dylan, Katie, Stephen, and Samantha, and his 3 hito puppies, Spanky Lee, Charlie, and Toots. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He will be missed by everyone who knew him. To know him was to love him.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday December 29, 2015 at 10am in the chapel of the Alderette Pomeroy Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Crotinger officiating followed by a dinner at 231 Tramparas in Raton.
