Johny M. Atencio Sr. age 59, of Raton, passed away Monday September 16, 2013 in Raton. He was born December 1, 1953 in Raton, NM, the son of Juan Guzman and Jenny Atencio.
Johny was a welder and had worked for Eerie Scientific Company for more than ten years. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert Atencio Sr. and sister Emma Sanchez.
Johny is survived by daughter Isabel Atencio of Raton, NM., Son John M Atencio Jr. of Raton., Step sons Mario Ortega and Fernando Olguin and wife Crystal Martinez all of Raton. One sister Freida Barela of Raton. Numerous grandchildren and two great grandchildren. And numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be Monday September 30, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home Chapel.
