Raton Police and EMS were dispatched to 764 Nevada Avenue October 13 at 11:57 am concerning a male who was reported to be unconscious and not breathing. Officers found a male identified as Henri Trueba (65) of Raton. Trueba was on the couch in the living room with a noticeable head wound. Raton EMS were unable to resuscitate Trueba as he had succumbed to his injuries.
Police obtained a search warrant for the residence and with the help of New Mexico State Police are working the scene. The incident is currently being investigated as a homicide.
